Nvidia has publicly rejected a report claiming it plans to roll out a China-specific LPU product by the end of 2026, stating it has no such sales today and no China-specific LPU on its roadmap.

Nvidia has denied a report that it is preparing a China-specific LPU chip for launch by the end of 2026. In a statement, a company spokesperson said: “The reporting in The Information on Nvidia’s LPU is incorrect. We have no LPU sales in the China market today, and no China-specific LPU product in our roadmap.”
The company continues to sell previously approved compliant products into China under existing export rules, but any suggestion of a new tailored accelerator remains highly sensitive given U.S. export controls.
The swift denial is intended to shut down speculation that Nvidia is preparing a fresh, China-only silicon product outside of currently authorized channels.
