At Meta Connect, Mark Zuckerberg introduced Muse Charm — a palm-sized, keychain-ready gadget built specifically for the Muse personal AI agent. It features a small screen with the agent avatar, fingerprint activation, microphones and cameras for context. Shipping targeted for December holidays.
Why it matters
Meta is the first major lab to put a shipping date on a dedicated consumer AI agent device. Muse already topped app charts; a physical form factor that works without unlocking a phone accelerates the race for always-available personal agents.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled Muse Charm at the company’s Connect event on September 23 — a dedicated, palm-sized hardware device for its recently launched Muse personal AI agent. The gadget is designed to clip to a keychain or sit in a pocket and lets users talk to Muse without unlocking a phone or opening an app.
The device includes a small OLED screen that displays the Muse avatar (internally called Jolly), a fingerprint sensor for activation, microphones, speakers, and cameras intended primarily to give the agent visual context. Zuckerberg said the full real-time voice and avatar stack has been packed into the form factor. Meta has built only a small number of units so far and still needs to finalize materials and component layout. Target ship date is the December holiday window; pricing has not been announced but is expected to be in the smartwatch range.
Muse itself launched earlier in September and quickly reached the top of U.S. app charts. The Charm announcement positions Meta as the first frontier lab to put a concrete consumer hardware timeline on a personal AI agent.
