AnthropicFundingIPOAnthropic Revenue Run Rate Hits $65 Billion Ahead of IPO
August 17, 20263 min read
Anthropic’s annualized revenue run rate reached approximately $65 billion by the end of July, up from $47 billion in May, as the company prepares for a potential public listing.
Why it matters
The rapid climb strengthens Anthropic’s valuation case and shows Claude continuing to capture significant enterprise and API share.
Anthropic’s revenue run rate has climbed to roughly $65 billion on an annualized basis as of the end of July 2026, according to people familiar with the matter. That figure is up from about $47 billion in May and represents an extraordinary acceleration from roughly $9 billion at the end of 2025.
The growth comes as Anthropic continues to prepare for a possible IPO later this year or next. Earlier reporting showed the company generated more than $11.5 billion in actual Q2 revenue and turned positive on an adjusted operating income basis.
The new run-rate number will likely feed into the aggressive 2028 revenue forecasts that bankers have been using to frame Anthropic’s potential public-market valuation.
